The buildings in the following pictures were created by Command Operations Center, LLC as part of a commission for an individual gamer.  They are composite constructions based on photographs and illustrations from Hue City, Vietnam, from the time of the Tet Offensive of 1968.

The Saigon US Embassy  has also been constructed for the same individual with pictures further down this page.

The picture above illustrates the overhead view of the project nearly completed.  Note the palm trees made from 54mm scale leaves made of etched brass.

The picture above clearly illustrates the church compound with its high plant topped wall enclosure.

The same view with the first layer of damage of the church and the other buildings severely damaged.

The picture above is of the final damage stage of the church, the rectory, and the walkway.

The picture above illustrates an overhead view of the completed work.  Trees have been installed that are removable and you can see the damaged layer of the church leaning against the rear of the building.

The picture above illustrates the first stage of damage, ...and in the background you can see the outer undamaged shell that has already been removed.  Many of the buildings in this piece have three layers.

The picture above gives you a view down the street toward the church compound.

The picture above provides another view of the detail and the following three pictures break down how the individual buildings are made and how they "nest".

Saigon Embassy after initial construction circa 1968.

The picture above is of the front of the Embassy and the picture below is of the rear.

The picture below illustrates the layout of the compound prior in rough form.

The picture below illustrates more detail including the covered walkway and the planters.

The picture below clearly illustrates the walkway and its supports plus the planters.

The picture below is of the finished Embassy compound and the street from which the attack originated.

The picture below is another view of the compound.

The picture below was taken of the concept work that was constructed to get an idea of space, size, and workability of the model.  Note the 1/285th scale M-48 tank and the 1/250 scale infantry.  The buildings were designed to be compatible with both scales.  They are 1/264th scale, or 22 feet per inch, so they will fit with the vehicles and figures normally used for skirmish gaming.
