| Command Operations Center, LLC is now offering a new service: Terrain Model construction
These pictures represent the construction of a terrain model for the US Army at one of their training facilities in the United States. The scale of the miniature is 1/160. The model is 10 feet by 8 feet with over 35 buildings, 500 trees, and countless details to simulate the facility where every soldier who will deploy to Iraq studies CQB (Close Quarters Battle)
Here is a picture of the Terrain Model installed and operational. Note the lights (LEDs) which indicate who occupies the buildings in question. Red for OPFOR, Blue for Contested, and Green when the building is cleared. Also note the M1-A2s and Bradleys advancing from the bottom of the picture.
