Operational Information Page

Welcome to the Command Operations Center exercise page.  The purpose of this page is to provide information about exercises planned for the near future.  COC will be conducting simulations during the Winter of 2011/12.  The information provided in the following pages will help participants begin planning for those events.

Recent event...  The Bosnian town of Jablanica.  The maps below will provide details of the location in relationship to the Adriatic, which can be seen at the bottom left of the AOR map.  The military map, also below, provides more detail of the location.  You can see the town and the surrounding mountains.  You should be able to see the small airport (very short field), the river, and the railroad tracks that provide a major link between Sarajevo and the sea.

The picture above provides a view of the city center, the air terminal, the two road bridges and the railroad bridge in the top right center.  You can also see one of the churches, the local military center, and the small college in the upper left center.  The picture below more closely illustrates the city center, Government Square, as it is referred to locally.  Note the CNN vehicles and the individually mounted figures representing a security detail and local workers.  You can just see the UPS truck that has just crossed the river via the northbound bridge.
