9/11 changed everything related to decision-making.  All organizations need to make quick decisions when dealing with terrorism or the use of weapons of mass destruction in any form.  This requires every organization practice all of their plans as often, and in as realistic of circumstances, as possible. 

The staff at Command Operations Center, LLC places your mayor, your police chief, the public works manager, all your department managers into a crisis simulation very similar to those you see in the newspaper, on CNN, or on FOX every day.  The situation they find themselves in will require resolution in the immediate sense, and will also involve planning for future similar situations.  The resolution of the simulated crisis will use all of your assets and all your abilities to insure the survival of your community.  

How would your government respond to the eruption of violence in the local high school, the local junior high, or the grade school?  What would you do in a hostage situation?  What would your SWAT team do if the hostages were their children, or if they were your children?  We are not advocating violence, we are advocating planning, and discussions of options for those situations your government has not yet planned for.

As good as your staff is, they cannot plan for every situation, but if you give them the chance to experience what can happen, they can develop responses undreamed of previously.  

Practice makes perfect, or at the very least it makes you better prepared.  

Let us, not the press, provide the stress for the members of your city council when lives and careers are on the line.  Do not entrust the lives of the citizens of your community to a disaster plan that has not been tested and digested, retested and contested, by every member of your local government.

We develop simulations based on your location, the industry in your municipality, environmental considerations, and outside influences perhaps not previously considered.  We test your response when lives are not on the line, when CNN or the Evening News is not staring you in the face asking questions you can not answer.  Our neutral location gives you the opportunity to look at your plans without the tunnel vision possible through an exercise tied specifically to your location.  It is possible to be too familiar with your location... and therefore not as prepared as you will need to be when terrorism strikes.  Being prepared is the only way to avoid tragedy.
